Real Worship: Playground, Battleground, or Holy Ground?
Worship is one of the most important aspects of the Christian life. It is a time when we come together as a community to express our love and adoration for God. But what does it mean to worship God? Is it simply a matter of singing songs and listening to sermons? Or is there something more to it?

In his book Real Worship, author Bob Sorge explores the different facets of worship. He argues that worship is not merely an activity that we do on Sundays. It is a way of life that permeates everything we do. Worship is not about making ourselves feel good. It is about giving God the glory that He deserves.
Sorge identifies three different types of worship:
- Playground worship is all about having fun and expressing ourselves. It is a time of celebration and joy. There is nothing wrong with playground worship, but it is not the only type of worship.
- Battleground worship is a time of intense spiritual warfare. We are fighting against the forces of darkness that are trying to keep us from worshiping God. Battleground worship is not always easy, but it is necessary if we want to experience the fullness of God's presence.
- Holy ground worship is a time of deep intimacy with God. We are in His presence, and we are overwhelmed by His love and grace. Holy ground worship is a time of transformation and renewal. It is a time when we are drawn closer to God and become more like Him.
Sorge argues that all three types of worship are important. We need to experience playground worship to celebrate our joy in God. We need to experience battleground worship to fight against the forces of darkness. And we need to experience holy ground worship to experience the fullness of God's presence.
Real worship is a journey. It is not something that we can achieve overnight. But it is a journey that is worth taking. When we learn to worship God in spirit and in truth, we will experience a life that is transformed.
If you are looking for a book that will help you to understand the true nature and purpose of worship, then I highly recommend Real Worship by Bob Sorge. This book will challenge you to go deeper in your worship and experience the fullness of God's presence.
